In the early nineteen sixties Leon and Raul Romero, two entrepreneurial immigrants from a small village of Zacatecas, in central Mexico, founded their family business in the rapidly expanding areas of Los Angeles and the Inland Empire. After spending many years learning the intricacies of the tortilla business from other manufacturers, as “route salesman” and direct store delivery drivers, the brothers Romero opened their own factory.
Today Romero’s Food Products is one of the foremost producers of fresh premium quality and traditional Mexican style tortillas and wraps. Utilizing state-of-the-art technology and equipment, the company produces more than fifty varieties of tortillas, wraps and other Hispanic products distributed to restaurants, retail outlets and schools throughout the Western Region of the United States. The company is focused on servicing foodservice, institutional, school and retail customers with great-tasting premium quality Mexican food products. Over the past several years, exporting beyond the borders of the United States have come to prominence. Romero’s has grown both domestically and internationally. Domestic growth has come from adding numerous major retail and food service clients and a plethora of independents. Internationally, Romero’s has expanded distribution of premium quality Mexican food product lines to North America, Asia and Europe.
